6th Grade Observational Drawings

6th Grade is hard at work creating observational drawings. Drawing from observation means that you are drawing from an object that is directly in front of you, paying close attention to the proportions and details of the object.

They've tried their hand at different drawing exercises such as continuous line drawings, blind contour drawing and contour line drawings. All of these exercises help students really look at what they're drawing.

Check out the photos of students creating contour line drawings of their shoes!
